Home for Christmas

Season’s Greetings!  I welcome you and yours Home for Christmas. Each year, beginning in 2012, I have taken great pride and enjoyment in decorating my home on the south end of Lafayette, Indiana for Halloween and Christmas for all passersby to enjoy. As I continue to grow in size and number of visitors annually, I derive great enjoyment to see the smiles and happiness on the faces of all of those who attend.  The icing on the cake is the very kind words and compliments that I receive from my guests. This year, for 2023, I have added many more lights and new Christmas-themed music favorites for new nightly Christmas light shows. The shows change nightly with a little something special on the weekends! Please stop by for a visit to take a look and enjoy! Merry Christmas to all!

Chris

2022 Closing words…

Hi all and good evening!  This one might be a bit lengthy but I cannot quite put into words alone just how grateful I am for all of you coming out this year!  First, I need to thank the following individuals for their help with the set-up as well as with the tear-down.  As the shows become more involved, I am finding it to be a bit of a large undertaking to handle on my own.  So, a very big thank you to my ma and pa, Brian Bronson, and Scott Greeson for helping to make these shows a possibility.  Another wonderful holiday season has come to an end but only in terms of dates on a calendar. Let us try to keep daily throughout the year the spirit we feel at Christmas time.  It costs nothing but yet the end results can be priceless. The greatest gift we all have been given is life but all too often we, as humans, focus on what we don’t have instead of appreciating the things that we do have such as life, family, and friends.  Sometimes the smallest things, like a light flashing to the music, can be one of the greatest things and put a smile on a face.  I got to see this in all of you.  This year, I have been very blessed to have had the opportunity to meet a large number of my guests that came to enjoy my holiday hobby and Christmas celebration with me.  There were many kind words, smiles, and memories for me to cherish for the rest of my life and I truly hope the same can be said by all of you.  For all of this and for each one of you taking the time to come out or to watch the videos from afar, I am forever thankful and appreciative.  I hope you all enjoyed the shows and can tuck this away in the memory banks and look back at it years from now still with a smile on your face.  I have been told by many of you that this has become a family tradition for your family.  I aim to keep this going for years to come!  As I have stated to so many of you, this hobby is truly a year ’round hobby and well-worth the time and effort put into it.  The joy it brings me through seeing it in and hearing it from my guests is priceless.

A large portion of the 2023 Christmas show design is well underway.  As usual, the theme will change this year as it does each year.  Programming the new music will begin towards the end of February with a goal of five additional songs bringing the total of songs for the shows to about 60 songs.  The construction of many of the props will commence once the weather becomes consistently decent enough to work outside.

So, until the Christmas season of 2023 arrives, I wish all of you nothing but the very best each and every day and a healthy, happy, and very prosperous 2023.  And hey, if you happen to be in the area over the course of the year, I am almost always outside on the weekend working on some sort of project. Feel free to stop and say hello or shoot me a message here to say hi or ask any questions that you may have.  Again, thank you for the continued support, the very kind words, and all the smiles you have shared with me not only this year but all the years to date!  God bless all of you!

Chris
